
We are happy to be hosting our first health and wellbeing day on the 25th Jan from 9.30 am to 4.30 pm we have a wide range of specialists here on the day, so keep an eye out for a text message invite, from the NHS.
You will receive a text message because you have been highlighted as someone that will benefit from the health and well-being day.
On the day we will have specialists that can advise you and book you into future appointments without having to go back through your GP
What will happen on the day: our reception team will meet you and book you into all the clinical treatments that may be outstanding on your medical care, this will save you from having to make multiple appointments in the future for simple things like your blood pressure, blood tests, height and weight being done will help in your future care.

Cancer Champions from Southend hospital will be bringing with them a team of specialists in reviewing, cancer treatments, ongoing treatments, holistic treatments, and other helpful information that you or your careers may need. Also, if you need a more in-depth conversation with the team, they are able to refer you.
Our mental health nurse along with social prescribers and Citizens Advice will also be on hand to have a chat with if you feel you need help and support in any of these areas:
Moods, Anxiety, Personality Disorders, Psychotic Disorders, Loneliness, Mental Health, Well-being Groups, Getting Outdoors, Benefits, Help with Bills, and general support. They can also make you appointments for future needs.
Physio from Essex Coast Physio and Healthy Lifestyle Coach from Everyone Health will be able to meet with you if you think you need support maintaining a healthy lifestyle, the physio can also book appointments straight into themselves for a quick turnaround.
One of our AP nurses who specializes in COPD and asthma will be on hand for any questions regarding your reviews or general information on your health condition.
We have two pharmacists and pharmacy tech that will be able to help with your medications and advise, see if you are overdue a MED review, they can book you in for a telephone consultation which is quick and easy and gives you peace of mind that the medication you are taking is correct for you.
Other Services include Southend Cares, Stop Smoking Team, Citizens Advice, Social Prescribers, and Clinical Triage Team.
